Just over a month ago, the Redeemed Hope Retreat enabled 15 women to find healing and joy amidst their relational traumas. Take a moment to read a retreat recap from an intercessor’s perspective and feel the joy of freedom that prayer inhabits.
What a privilege to serve at the Redeemed Hope retreat again and be honored to lead our amazing team of intercessors! Early on I felt the Lord giving us the strategy
to fight with JOY – no sad sack prayers. One of the women I trained with said, “JOY is a key to radically transformative breakthrough” (Margriet Leach). There are so many scriptures about JOY and we fought the battle with the sword of God’s Word, claiming His victory for our sisters. As many on the team prayed, we sensed that God had assigned angels around the property, in each room, and with each woman including our team. Prayer partners all over the country lifted us up and we could feel the support in the spiritual realm. One thing that gripped my heart was as the women spoke aloud the truth of God’s Word, their volume increased. The Spirit of God was palpable as each woman declared words of worship like Paul and Silas singing in jail. We have a front-row seat to see God set them free as we listen and pray in agreement as they seek God’s help with forgiveness. We experience sheer joy as we pray with them to release unhealthy attachments – we see chains fall off and their faces brighten right before our eyes!
I believe that God also gives a new level of healing in the lives of each volunteer and leader. There is always something more that He wants to give. As we pour ourselves out in love to Him and service to our sisters, He gives grace abundantly, providing deeper healing in our journeys.
A Joyful Prayer Warrior,
